DIRECT SHIPPING

 In an effort to give you an outstanding service, please keep in mind our direct to consumer guidelines. In general, all packages can be packed in Styrofoam or Pulp and they will be shipped Ground via UPS or FedEx; otherwise; instructed by winery. 

Orders
  •       All our Daily orders must be submitted before 11:00am, any orders received after cut off time can be shipped same day with a RUSH fee; otherwise, it will be shipped the next day.
  •       Wine Club/New release orders must be submitted two weeks prior to release date with approximated count of customers 
Tracking Numbers
  •      Please included recipient’s e-mail address on all your orders, if you would like them to receive a shipment notification and progress of package via e-mail
  •       All tracking numbers will be available online (AMSWeb) for all our winery storage customers 
Inventory
  •      EWD will require an inventory transfer from wholesale inventory to direct to consumer inventory for better inventory record keeping.  All must be taxpaid  and it will be available online for our customers review
  •       Non-inventory products should be at our warehouse 48 hours in advanced before scheduled shipment. Any product received on the same day of the shipment will incurr extra charges 
Returns
  •      EWD will notify to the winery customer when returns arrive to our premises
  •     Winery customer will notify EWD what instructions to follow for that return (back to regular inventory, back to return pallet, back to the winery and/or re- ship)
  •      EWD will file a claim with carrier for any damaged returns.  Keep in mind that the maximum credit back to your account for uninsured package is $100.00 plus shipping, once payment received from carrier. NOTE**NOT applicable for items damaged by environmental conditions
  •     Undeliverable packages refused by consignee or which cannot be delivered due to another cause beyond carrier or EWD control, will be returned to EWD at winery customers expense  
Miss-delivery - liability limitation
  •     If EWD by mistake miss-ships direct shipping wine packages, EWD will return package at its expense. If consignee fails to return package, EWD will reimburse winery for  product at wholesale price with a maximum liability of $216.00 per case or $18.00 per bottle 
Insertion of non-wine items
  •     Any non-wine items (tasting room souvenirs, newsletter, invoices, gift cards, greeting cards,  brochures, olive oil, recipes, etc.) to be included on wine shipment, must be provided a week  prior  to ship date
  •      Greeting cards can be provided by EWD at additional charge 
Misc. Projects
  •      Please let us know in advanced if your need special re-pack, bottle wrapping, assembly of advertisement material and/or special bottle labeling. 
Compliance
  •      The winery is responsible for knowing and complying with applicable laws and regulations in both the origin and destination states. For latest states’ laws please visit http://wineinstitute.org/
  •      The winery is responsible for obtaining all applicable permits and licenses required by each state
  •     In house Wine Compliance management and reporting can be offered at customer’s request for an additional fee 
Invoicing
  •     Winery customer will get invoiced monthly for direct to consumer services
  •     Any additional miscellaneous charges will be billed at the end of each invoicing period
  •      EWD DOES NOT bill or collect payments for winery’s direct customers on any taxes, winery invoices or services provided by EWD
